05/08 3eme semaine/ 3rd week

Let's see. Richard finally made it home this week after a God forsaken long absence. Thank Christ, is all I can say. Thank donuts. Thank Buddha. Thank Vishnu. I don't care who I have to thank. I'll even thank Hillary, if it gets my hubby home.
Anyhoo. Florence has come a long, long way. Walking is so been there, done that. She's a gem at it and it's not even a thought to us anymore.
She's also getting better at the fork and spoon and, as such, feeds herself. In fact, if you try to feed her she'll get P.O.'d, unless she's too busy playing and, as such, needs you to feed her so she will not need to be interrupted.
She also has 86'd the highchair for a booster. And she's more and more requesting to drink from our cups than her own. Frankly, it's all about being 1 going on 31.
She emulates me in all aspects, washing her face and brushing her teeth, putting on makeup and combing her hair, cleaning the house, making phone calls, doing Internet searches, etc. etc. etc.
This evening she spent an hour using her kiddie Swifter and swept the entire house up, including a bed and carpeting.
As for hubby, he worked extremely hard and is now the proud papa of a bigger aircraft. His is bigger than yours, you know. He did so well that the instructor asked him if he, too, instructed in his last aircraft. For the time being he's home, to compensate for being gone one day shy of forever, so at last life can return to some semblance of normalcy, whatever that is.
In the meantime we've dealt with toilet and freezer dramas, just enough drama to spice up the nights with frantic trips to home improvement stores as we've grown fond of running indoor water and aren't quite ready to convert to Amishness. God bless the inside toilet.
Anyway, all for now. As per usual, tired and old and achy. Cleaned up the front yard after a near year hiatus of any sort of acceptable cleaning and, frankly, feel like I'm gonna die.
On that happy note, BYE BYE!
